30 Students Fall Ill After Eating ‘Contaminated’ Hostel Food In Rajasthan’s Kota

At least 30 lady college students had been taken in poor health after consuming the meals served at their hostel right here with one among them claiming she had observed a lizard within the curry, with officers saying a probe had been ordered.

The incident, which occurred in Jawahar Nagar police station limits, got here to mild when round 30 college students complained about vomiting and dizziness after consuming the meals on Thursday evening. He added that the meals security group collected samples of uncooked meals objects and water from the hostel on Friday and a probe was underway.

Circle Inspector at Jawahar Nagar police station Vasudev confirmed that the meals the ladies had eaten was thrown out and no pattern was collected.

Kota City Additional (*30*) Magistrate Brij Mohan Bairwa expressed ignorance about information of the contaminated meals being thrown out earlier than sampling.

Bairwa, who’s the nodal officer of the district-level monitoring committee on teaching institutes and hostels, added that he had directed the CMHO to probe into the matter and submit a report inside two days.
