After ‘Provocative’ Song Played Outside Mosque In Karnataka, Case Filed

Kalaburagi (Karnataka):

Kalaburagi Police in Karnataka have registered a case towards the organisers of a Ganesh Mandali and the DJ proprietor for allegedly taking part in a provocative track in entrance of a mosque.

According to police, the incident occurred throughout the Ganesh Visarjan procession on September 10, when a track, which was allegedly provocative in nature, was performed in entrance of Mahibas Masjid, close to the Super Market Area round 2 am.

The case has been registered on the Brahampaur Police Station. The accused are Tukaram Mahendrakar, Ambresh Bhovi, two commoners, and one DJ proprietor named Saleem, in accordance with the FIR. Some others have additionally been booked by the police.

The accused have been booked below sections 295(A), 188 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and sections 31 and 103 of the Karnataka Police Act, the police stated.

Further investigation is underway within the case.
