Man Kills Wife With Tawa Over Delay In Preparing Food: Noida Police

A 37-year-old man was arrested in Noida Tuesday for allegedly killing his spouse by hitting her on the top with a ‘tawa’ over an argument a couple of delay in dinner, police stated.

The incident occurred on Monday at their rented lodging in Mamura’s Shramik Kunj space in Sector 66, underneath the Phase 3 police station limits, they stated.

Anuj Kumar, a local of Bihar and dealing in Noida as an auto-rickshaw driver, was close to the Sector 59 metro station when he was held by an area police group on Tuesday, they stated.

“On Monday, Kumar had returned home but soon an argument broke out between them over the delay in preparation of the dinner. The husband got enraged to the extent that he used a tawa to hit his wife Khushbu on her head, leading to her death,” a police spokesperson stated.

Phase 3 police station in-charge Vijay Kumar stated the husband-wife duo hailed from Bihar and lived right here with a five-year-old son.

The police had been alerted concerning the incident by the locals after which an FIR was lodged underneath Indian Penal Code part 302 (homicide) and the husband arrested, he stated.

Further authorized proceedings had been being carried out within the case, he added.
