Rupee Gains Sharply As Dollar On Course For Longest Losing Streak In A Year

Rupee features sharply to about 79.15 per greenback

The rupee gained sharply on Tuesday because the greenback was on target for its longest shedding streak in a 12 months and international shares had been larger for a fifth straight day forward of key US inflation knowledge predicted to point out a slowing in worth pressures.

PTI reported that the rupee strengthened 37 paise to shut provisionally at 79.16 in opposition to the US greenback.
