Twitter Inc stated on Monday funds made to a whistleblower didn’t breach any circumstances of its $44 billion buyout by Elon Musk, after the world’s richest man cited the transfer as another excuse to scrap the deal.

In a Friday letter to Twitter, legal professionals for Elon Musk stated Twitter’s failure to hunt his consent earlier than paying $7.75 million to whistleblower Peiter Zatko and his legal professionals violated the merger settlement, which restricted when Twitter may make such funds.
